Cutler Real Estate asked Michelle a few questions so you can get to know her better, and here are Michelle's replies.
1. What is your professional/educational background?
I started my career in the Manufacturing & Supply Chain Management, Inventory Control / Master Data Manager for 20 years. Studied at Butler Community College BC3, while living/working in Pittsburgh in Business Management and took PA Real Estate Classes, then studied and licensed in Ohio March 2018.
2. Why did you choose a career in real estate?
I raised my 3 children and took steps towards my Real Estate goals while living and working in PA. I had a great career, for which I'm grateful, but it took too much of my time away from my family. So after endless House Flipping / Investment seminars, selling my own house, taking Real Estate classes while there and then major life events, I decided to move back home to Massillon, Ohio and pursue my dream of being a Realtor. I love this community and I'm passionate about assisting people to sell their homes, “First Time Home Buyers”; “Families looking to downsize or rightsize”; “Seniors forever homes” or any Real Estate needs. Included in my vision is being able to interact with non-profit organizations to assist those in need of housing and looking to learn skills for a trade, such as helping to fix up homes in need of repair, to potentially live in. Longer-term goal to invest in homes in the areas that are in need of repair, not only to help those in need, but to improve the overall neighborhood's appeal, particularly in areas that could use some rebuilding.
3. What area do you live in currently and what do you like about where you live?
I just purchased a home in Massillon, after being back here for nearly 3 years, and it's so great to be home! I have a 3-year-old granddaughter who may have had something to do with me moving back. This is where I was born, I have some family here and many old friends, as well as new ones since starting in Real Estate. The small-town feel, with the greatest HS Football team ever, with easy access to larger cities if needed. It just feels good to be home!
4. How do you spend your free time?
Visiting children, grandchild, family, and friends, with the little free time I have, Hoping with this new start I can spend more time on Real Estate, less at the hourly job and therefore more time for family & friends!
5. If you could only keep 5 possessions what would they be?
- My kids/grandkid
- Camper (that I don't have yet)
- Box of family photos
6. In one word, how do you think your friends/family would describe you?
