Cutler Real Estate asked Michelle a few questions so you can get to know her better, and here are Michelle's replies.
1. What is your professional/educational background?
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Walsh University in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in Business Management and concentrations in Organizational Leadership and Human Resources. For the past 7 years, I've been in the property management industry as a regional property manager. Most recently I had 29 properties with nearly 5,000 units. My sites were spread all across northeast and central Ohio and ranged from single family homes, townhomes, and apartments. Prior to that, I worked as an independent contractor in the construction industry and in HR at Macy's while obtaining my Bachelor's degree.
2. Why did you choose a career in real estate?
I love the industry as well as helping others. Real Estate seemed like the natural next step for my career after working in construction, property management, and surveying. I love to walk into a house and see the characteristics that make it unique. Additionally, I wanted to go into business for myself, and real estate was the obvious choice for me. Furthermore, I want the opportunity to both educate others and to help build individuals' legacies.
3. What area do you live in currently and what do you like about where you live?
I live in Kent. It's a small town, but with plenty of activities, restaurants, etc. The schools are good, and their parks and recreation department is great. The city maintains an overall feel of community.
4. How do you spend your free time?
Mostly with family and friends. Love to spend time at my family's cabin in West Virginia. I love going to the theater and to concerts. I'm also an avid reader, so I spend a lot of time with my head buried in a book. I enjoy playing golf as well.
5. If you could only keep 5 possessions what would they be?
- My wedding ring
- Family photos
- A letter that I received from my parents after my high school graduation
- College Diploma
- My late grandma's dishes
6. In one word, how do you think your friends/family would describe you?
