Tom Wohlwend - Cutler Real Estate Agent

Cutler Real Estate asked Tom a few questions so you can get to know him better, and here are Tom's replies.

1. What is your professional/educational background?

I have worked the last 33 years for Alltel and then Windstream, telephone companies. The last 20 of those years I have worked as a project manager coordinating IT development projects as well as any application mergers due to company acquisitions. I received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 1980 from Kent State.

2. Why did you choose a career in real estate?

I was laid off from Windstream due to a company reorg. I have had an interest in Real Estate for a number of years and this was the push I needed to go do something different. At the end of the day, I want to feel that I have been able to help someone and this career provides that opportunity.

3. What area do you live in currently and what do you like about where you live?

I have lived in Stow just about all my life. For my first year out of college I lived in Columbus but for the rest of my life home has been Stow, Ohio. I grew up on the South East side of Stow on North River Road. For most of my married life, I have lived on the Northside on Stow Road. I like my current address as we had 2.5 acres for the kids to grow up on. We are close to everything we would need to get to but we also have our piece of quiet.

4. How do you spend your free time?

I don't have a lot of free time. There is always work around the house or helping family. For relaxation, I cut out paper for my wife's business. It has been very therapeutic for me.

5. If you could only keep 5 possessions what would they be?

I can't 'possess' my wife, children and grandchildren so I guess I would choose my house, a car and some clothes.

6. In one word, how do you think your friends/family would describe you?
